In September 2026, NAV CANADA, the air navigation service provider for Canada, will begin the transition to a new Aeronautical Data Processing System (ADPS). This will result in temporarily reduced capacity to process aeronautical data submissions, with the most significant constraints during the April 15, 2027, and June 10, 2027 AIRAC cycles.
Capacity will gradually increase cycle by cycle until normal operations resume by fall 2027, with full capacity expected for the March 16, 2028 AIRAC cycle.
To ensure changes can be accommodated during these AIRAC cycles, aeronautical data submissions must be received by their respective deadlines. Please review the submission deadline calendar for these cycles at: https://www.navcanada.ca/en/aeronautical-information/data-submission.aspx#airac-deadlines
The calendar provides the most current deadlines for both complex changes (such as new or modified instrument flight procedures, airspace redesigns or project requiring discovery discussions) and minor changes (such as routine aerodrome information updates). We recommend checking the calendar regularly as it reflects the latest information.

During the transition period (September 2026 through summer 2027):
The format, content and scheduled release of all cyclic 56-day publications – including AIRAC, Canada Flight Supplement (CFS), Canada Air Pilot (CAP) and Enroute charts – will remain unchanged throughout this transition.
This modernization is necessary to support evolving regulatory requirements and international data exchange standards. During training, commissioning, and parallel operations, NAV CANADA will operate both legacy and new systems simultaneously to ensure service continuity.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we modernize our systems to better serve the aviation community.
