Does the plan cover sunglasses?
Yes, as long as they have prescription lenses.
How does the two-year claiming period work?
If you received a reimbursement of $225 on the purchase of eyeglasses, contact lenses or laser eye surgery during the two-year period that runs from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2016, you cannot claim again until the new two-year period (January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2018) begins.
For laser eye surgery claims, you may re-submit the expense, as long as the person is covered by the plan, in every two-year calendar period until the full cost of the surgery has been claimed. You cannot re-submit the expense under the Health Spending Account
for that new calendar year period.
